How Do Shop Front Shutters Work?

Shop Front Shutters roller shutters are created out of single skin aluminium or steel profiles where the lath is run through a perforating or punching machine before being rolled into its profile.

There are lots of different options for perforation and punching, allowing for stylistic decisions to be made.

It is possible for punching and perforation to be different sizes, meaning that the amount of light, visibility, and airflow to pass through.

Shop Front Shutters can also be upgraded and certified to LPS1175 standards by using reinforced guides and installing on the internal face of the shop. They can meet SR1 or SR2 standards if the right conditions are met.

As well as this they are provided with a battery back-up which creates an uninterruptable power supply if there is ever a power cut. This works by charging a fuel cell when power is fed to the unit, and then using this resource when the power is cut.
